We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in thermodynamics, electromechanical systems, and hydrogen manufacturing processes. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between R&D and full-scale production, ensuring that designs are manufacturable, safe, and optimized for serial production. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in gas and liquid dynamics, valve and flow system design, and possess a proven track record in bringing complex systems from prototype to production
- Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team (some of it outsourced) in the design, development, and optimization of hydrogen-based energy systems.
- Apply principles of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and electromechanical integration in the design and analysis of complex systems.
- Design and validate valves, Pumps, flow and pressure regulation systems, gas/liquid handling components and automatic filtration units.
- Translate R&D concepts into manufacturable products, ensuring Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) best practices.
- Interface with cross-functional teams to support technology transfer from prototype to serial production.
- Select and qualify components in line with industry safety and manufacturing standards.
- Conduct and review system-level simulations and calculations to validate performance.
- Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings and documentation using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks).
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure component feasibility, tolerancing, and cost-effectiveness.
- Define test plans and support validation of pressure, flow, and thermal performance for critical systems.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical system design.
- Strong understanding of hydrogen production systems, gas dynamics, and liquid transport mechanisms.
- Demonstrated experience in valve design, flow control, and pressure acquisition systems.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
- Proven experience with industry safety, assembly, and manufacturing standards (e.g., ASME, ISO, CE).
- Experience transitioning products from concept to serial manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and tolerancing.
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
- Technical English proficiency.
- Experience in the energy, hydrogen, or cleantech sectors.
- Knowledge of thermal management systems and their applications in high-efficiency energy systems.
- Familiarity with sensor integration for pressure, temperature, and flow measurement.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and development processes.
