For many years here at Freshcut Foods we have made it our business to be the best at producing all manner of bespoke cooked and raw ready-to-eat vegetables and carbohydrates for our growing list of customers. An in-depth knowledge of our products, customers and marketplace, coupled with a drive and commitment to exceed expectations – is at the heart of what we do. We work with the best in chilled food manufacture, retail, food-service and food–to–go operators. People as passionate as we are, who recognise that quality, innovation and speed of response is a given. We are looking for a Weekend Quality Assurance Technician to work Sunday to Thursday from either 06am to 2pm or 2pm to 10pm. You will be monitoring all processes and products to ensure that site procedures are adhered to, you will carry out internal audits while increasing employee understanding of GMP and food safety requirements. Upon completion of audits you will agree corrective actions and timescales. You will be quality driven with knowledge of QA and environmental procedures. Adaptable and with the ability to work on your own initiative you will fully investigate any customer complaints and provide them with a response. You will also monitor suppliers to confirm compliance against agreed specifications. Ideally you will hold a degree in a Food Science or Science based subject. Person Specifications Flexible to cover the needs of the business. Good Problem Solver. Ability to work on own initiative. Change management, project management and multi-tasking skills. Quality driven, with extensive knowledge of QA and environmental procedures. Adaptable - able to quickly master new ideas and processes. Self-starter, with energy and enthusiasm to succeed. |
