The Client is a company specialized in the design and production of hot runner injection systems for molding plastic materials and is based in the industrial area of Pont-Saint-Martin, in the province of Aosta. Thanks to constant growth and important investments, the Company has quickly reached an important position in Italy and in the world. Today, it employs a workforce of 200 employees in the production facility, which covers an area of approximately 11,000 square meters. It is present in 48 countries around the world with its own sales and technical assistance network. It has foreign offices in France, the United Kingdom and Portugal. Since August 2015, it is part of a US multinational in the industrial and aerospace manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities - Guarantees the continuous flow of communications with team members, Line Manager and colleagues of other functions and participates in working groups and interdisciplinary committees, to ensure an efficient and continuous improvement of the department.
- Performs the assessment of the skills of the assigned personnel of the department in order to identify the needs for professional development (level changes, increases, career paths) and training and the gaps to be filled.
- Coordinates the daily workload of his team in order to guarantee the correct management of daily priorities / urgencies.
The selected candidate is responsible for guaranteeing the proper organization of all the activities of Technical Department under technical and managing point of view.
He/she needs to ensure that quality, health and safety and compliance standards (Code of Conduct and GDPR) are respected and applied in the department, in order to achieve the set objectives.
He/she needs to operate with a view to continuous improvement.
Main responsabilities
- Manage technical and organizational aspects of the Department, in Italy and abroad;
- Give technical support to the designers, ensuring best solutions are designed and implemented keeping the focus on continuous improvement;
- Improve efficiency of the Department;
- Keep contacts with Quality, Production, Sales and R&D for improvements;
- Be the key point of contact for internal and external customers and suppliers;
- Manage technical trainings for customers and sales.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years experience in a similar role gained in manufacturing company in the metalworking sector;
- Bachelor's degree in technical disciplines or mechanical engineering supported by experience gained in a similar context ;
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English;
- Good knowledge of the Office package and Creo 2 - Pro Engineer Knowledge of technical design;
- Outstanding organizational skills, interpersonal skills and team work.
- Excellent flexibility and accuracy are required.
