Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games. We are driven by the following values: respect, determination, legacy, engagement and sustainability. Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km. The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI). Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
Within the Information, Knowledge and Games Learning (IKL) functional area, the Information and Data Coordinator will support the development and implementation of projects closely related to the management of information and data sources to enable ease of access and sharing of knowledge to enhance awareness and understanding and support colleagues, stakeholders and future OCOGs for delivering the Olympic and Paralympic Games. In particular, the Information and Data Coordinator will develop and manage the following areas in collaboration with the rest of the IKL teams and other MICO26 FAs: INFORMATION MANAGEMENT · Ensure an effective design, management and maintenance of the assigned Microsoft SharePoint Sites and information libraries managed or led by the IKL. - Work collaboratively on files, documents, dashboards, reports, and distribution lists to facilitate the update and sharing of the communications both internally and externally. · Undertake the development and implementation of the archiving policy (for both physical and digital archiving), including the related logistics. · Support the creation and promotion of innovative contents for internal communications related to various sources of information and for supporting the smooth onboarding of newcomers. DATA AND KNOWLEDGE CAPTURE AND MANAGEMENT
- Collaborate with the IOC IKL team to ensure their Data Capture and Structured Interviews projects are effectively delivered · Work with the relevant FAs, the IOC and IPC throughout their internal flows of work, to ensure the collection and transfer of documents, data and statistics, and with ensure efficient and timely transfer of those to the IOC and IPC ARCHIVES · Work with MICO26 Media and Legal teams to ensure the consistent management and storage of files (including audiovisual) that must be archived, ensuring that appropriate metadata is retained, and that the media can be archived and transferred post-Games.
- Work with all related MICO26 FAs to collect, store and ship to the IOC and IPC the physical items (memorabilia and artefacts) as per the respective MICO26 obligations.
- At least a bachelor’s degree in disciplines such as computer or information sciences, information technology and infrastructure, big data management, communication, or another related area;
- At least 3 years of professional experience, ideally including working on projects with internal and external stakeholders and acquired in positions relevant to this job description; · Very good knowledge and passion in the field of information and data management, project management and digital solutions along with appreciation of Olympic and Paralympic values. Understanding logistics is also an advantage;
- Very good command of English and Italian languages, both spoken and written;
- Strong communication and collaborative skills, a proactive learner and problem solver attitude is expected;
- Excellent technical skills using Microsoft tools (SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
