We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Mechanical Technician to join our team in our Altens workshop. Join Glacier Energy as we continue to contribute towards a sustainable future, develop the skills necessary to support a net zero economy and drive positive change Strip down, Inspection and Reassembly of Heat Exchangers. Knowledge of Shell, Tube, and Plate Heat Exchangers, Motor Coolers, Fin Fans and Radiators[FB1] [KE2] . Undertake Hydrotesting. Flange Management – Manual and Hydraulic Torquing and Tension. Tube Expansion and Plugging. General Mechanical/Pipe Fitting Duties. Experience Experience and knowledge of repairing all types of Heat Exchangers preferred. Mechanical Fitting/Maintenance background. Experience of major petrochemical/refinery shutdowns. Ability to read engineering drawings. Willingness to work both onshore & offshore as and when required. Desirable Experience of working on COMAH Tier 1 sites/Offshore Installations preferred. TMJ 10, 18 and 19 certifications. ECITB – CCNSG Safety Passport or IOSH Working Safely. Offshore certification. Recognised HSE qualification / IOSH.
