We are looking for a System Engineer / Software Requirements Engineer to join multidisciplinary teams involved in the development of complex embedded systems, with a focus on electronic control units (ECUs) and signal-based systems.
The role is central in bridging stakeholder needs, system architecture, and software implementation.
- Analyze and understand high-level requirements from stakeholders, customers, and applicable regulations.
- Define, structure, and manage system and software requirements, including functional and non-functional requirements.
- Translate system-level requirements into allocated and traceable software requirements.
- Collaborate closely with software development, electronics, and testing teams.
- Understand and model system behavior involving signals, sensors, actuators, and control units (ECUs).
- Support the definition of the system’s functional and logical architecture.
- Ensure requirements traceability throughout the entire development lifecycle (specification, development, verification, validation).
- Support verification and validation activities related to system and software requirements.
- Degree in Engineering (Computer Engineering, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, or related fields).
- Experience (including non-senior profiles) in system and/or software requirements specification and management.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and ECU-based architectures.
- Ability to understand signals, data flows, and hardware–software interactions.
Familiarity with: - functional and non-functional requirements
- system engineering principles
- V-model or similar development lifecycles
Strong technical communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Location: Based in Reggio Emilia
